BUDAPEST DAY ONE

I finally made it to Budapest! It's been a long wait especially after I was planing to go in December.
We woke up at 5am and got ready for our road trip. Me and my boyfriend <3
Along the way to our destination we made a stop at Balaton, but I didn't take any photos because the weather was shitty. After a couple of hours we finaly arrived at Budapest and surprisingly we didn't get lost. We found the apartment we were staying at, right away. We booked it trough booking.com and was really nice private apartment.

When we got settled in and after our lunch (we can't eat outside because my boyfriend is allergic to wheat) the journey started. Our first thing was a search for the bus tickets. We were like beheaded chickens and no one we've asked, didn't know where they sell them. I'm pretty sure they didn't understand English. 😂 (we figured out on the second day that you can actually buy tickets on the bus as well).
When we got to the Keleti railway station we've finally saw some light at the end of the tunnel, because you can buy tickets for all of their public transport on the metro stations. Hooray. It was our first time in Budapest and of course none of us speaks Hungarian. 😂 So we got the 24h pass and sat on the metro 4 to the Buda side to see the castle.
Because we've walked for about 7km up to the point we made it to the Buda castle, we've took the funicular to get to the top. I was stunned, the view is amazing and I could just sit there and stare for hours.
