BACK IN TIME: THESIS COLLECTION: THE TUDOR DYNASTY

The Tudor Dynasty

The concept of my thesis collection was to design modern Renaissance collection. I was inspired by the life of Henry VIII and women in his life, especially Elizabeth I., Anne Boleyn and Jane Seymour.

The collection reflects many characteristics of the era. I made everything by hand except the fabric and digital print. Accessories (necklaces, bracelets, earrings, headband, buttons) they reflect their handwork, colors are symbolizing wealth and royalty, fabrics are rich and they give you the impression of real velvet and damask. Fabric print is made from roses ( symbol of Tudor dynasty), damask ( represents materials in their period) and paintings of angels (symbolizing the only artistic media who can present us with how they dressed).
