ONE WISH DOWN

11:25:00 AM
One of my biggest wishes finally came true. I am beyond happy.
What wish you wonder? It was to hear, with my own pair of ears, an amazing Italian classical crossover tenor, Andrea Bocelli. The first time I heard him sing on the radio I was a child and he blew me away. So every now and then I listen him sing.

On the 19th of November, he had a concert in Ljubljana, Stožice. The whole stadium was full of people that were thinking the same thing as me- we need to see him at least once in our lifetime. Even though the tickets prices were high, it was so worth it.

Vermillion Redd: ONE WISH DOWN, Andrea Bocelli

The concert started with a 10 min. delay with a first song by the Slovenian philharmonic orchestra. The excitement grew with every note they played and when he came up with the help of conductor Marcello Rota we went mental- in a respectful kind of way (btw my hands still hurts from all the clapping).

In the first half that lasted 50 min, he was changing his spotlight with a Slovenian soprano Sabina Cvilak that later on sang my favourite song with him- Con te partiro. This was the last song and they actually made me cry (thank god I was hiding behind binoculars ;) ).
He also had a Slovenian choir that was combined with three choirs from around Maribor and a pop singer called Christine Allado. In the second half, the songs were more movie-oriented from his latest album. At the end, we couldn't stop the applause so he granted us three more songs. One was Puccini's Nessun Dorma, second one I don't remember the name and the last one, the grand finale - my favourite Con Te partiro When he finished all the station stood up and started clapping our hands off

In one word he is SPECTACULAR! He left me speechless!

P.s: Sorry for only one photo, but they asked us not to take photos, some of us respected the request and some were just plain annoying with their phones and flashes. No respect- that was actually the only flaw- the ignorant audience!

                                                        Kisses,
